Learning How to Love - Part 14
"Light Meditation"
With Rabbi Ari Sollish
(Recorded live at the Intown Jewish Academy on February 23, 2020)

Jewish meditation is different than other forms of meditation. The objective of Jewish meditation is not to empty the mind, but to focus on a mystical concept and hold it in the mind until one begins to feel something.

The premise of Jewish meditation is that there are powerful lines that connect the mind and the heart, and that we have the ability to control the messaging that travels between them. What we think about deeply -- using the soul power of da'at -- inevitably produces an emotional result.

In this session oft Kabbalah & Coffee we learn a Kabbalistic meditation of light. This meditation is built on the secrets of the universe and the unique model of its creation as described in the mystical texts, and leads us to a state of excitement and joy.
