Learning How to Love - Part 5
"Understanding Love"
With Rabbi Ari Sollish
(Recorded live at the Intown Jewish Academy on December 8, 2019)
People are different. We think differently than each other, we see the world differently. The ancient Jewish sages put it like this: Just as no two faces are alike, so are no two minds alike.
It would seem, then, that our minds pose the greatest obstacle to our unconditional love for and acceptance of another. Knowing what we know -- we believe -- we can't really embrace the other who thinks differently than us.
Enter chochmah. Chochmah is the first and most sublime of the soul's intellectual powers. It's also the soul power that allows us to let go of our subjectivity and embrace another, purely and unconditionally.
In this session of Kabbalah & Coffee we explore the soul origins of diversity and unity, and take a big step in understanding how to truly love.
