My thoughts on piracy is that it increases exposure to products. What once is in a mess of products hidden amongst google search is now in the hands of everybody.
Many pirates are collectors! They do not wish to infringe on the rights of those who created the content, they just wish to have exposure to it! ---- Recent news brings me to the realization that this is the old way. Seems people don't have respect anymore.
My favourite quote, as an anti-prohibitionist is:
