Description

From the soundscape to 'Helling' ('Skråninga' / 'the Slope'), written by Carl Frode Tiller, directed by Maren E. Bjørseth at Frascati Producties. A caleidoscopic play about a man who wrestles with life after a troublesome childhood.

Different parts of this life are shown in fast-paced, short scenes. Storylines range from home life with his abusive biological parents to adapting to indulgent but suffocating care of his foster parents. And from puberty in the company of stereotypical 'bad friends' to an adulthood clueless about life and love.

Because of the rapid switching between scenes and characters the different parts of the story had thematic, almost filmic soundscapes. This track is electro inspired, a musical direction which accompanied the scenes where the main character is shown as an adolescent slowly growing from a naive outcast into a less innocent juvenile delinquent.
