Kalm has collaborated with Dynamite MC and appeared with a
musical vibe on UK dance and drum & bass power house
Hospital Records’ Plastic Surgery Album series with ‘Venus’
and a follow up ‘Mirage’ on a later instalment of the series.
Unsurprisingly, Kalm’s Rekordbox DJ Software (and USB
Drive) or “old skool style” vinyl box (solid steel flight case) is
bulging, thus some of his finest moments have come from
behind the decks – where he has been a fixture UK-wide
and beyond since turning pro in 1998. Big moments came
playing at Homelands festival (by Festival Republic / Live
Nation) with a line up including LTJ Bukem, Roni Size,
Richie Hawtin, and the Artful Dodger. Another, was on the
DMC stage at Miami’s Winter Music Conference with
Calibre, Marcus Intalex and world DMC Champ DJ Craze.
His experience includes not only live events, but live on
BBC Radio One as well, where he guest DJ’ed for Mary
Anne Hobb’s Breezeblock show.
All this in addition to various line-ups as far as America and
Australia, to across Europe via places as varied as
Switzerland, Estonia, to Iceland and Portugal have featured
his name. Residencies at legendary London clubs,
including Herbal, Home, Movement/Bar Rhumba and The
Clinic combine for a very experienced DJ with a
comprehensive resume. Never one to stand still, Kalm
always has multiple recording projects on the go, he has a
new EP project in works with hotly-tipped label Mustard
Music from Brighton, UK. Since completing his album for Nurtured Beatz (a label he co-runs and owns with DJ Spindall) he has also been working on a project from his new home base of Sheffield UK called Steel Audio (watch for this later in 2024 and beyond).

For Kalm, DJ’ing and music as a whole is the essence and
heart of his creative passion; he has always been vocal
about the need to nurture and support new and innovative
talent to build upon the various UK scenes. Whether
smashing out a well loved classic, sticking up for ‘up-and-
comers’ against the big-budget piranhas of the major
labels, or pushing that one epic-sounding but lesser-known
track, he is never far away from the dance music epicentre,

and that is just where he intends to stay.
