You may not know this since the Capitol is all but closed to the public, but lawmakers are working extra hard to raise your utility rates as we speak. While many states are looking at relief, projects like the Grain Belt Express (which will save ratepayers $12 million a year thanks to wind being delivered from out west) are being targeted.
But there's more, including an amendment to laws involving a concept called ISRS. You may not know what this is, but it does have an impact on your utility bill in certain parts of the state.
