The church at Ephesus is praised by Jesus for their untiring, vigilant work, and for their adherence to the truth in the mist of false apostles. But Jesus corrects them for forsaking the love that they had at first. Our ultimate calling as the church is to love God with all our heart, soul, mind, and strength, and to love our neighbors as ourselves. How have we, as the church, forsaken the love we had at first? How is Jesus inviting us to hear his coll to love?
