William Mahfoud (a.k.a. Rise 1969) is a UK-born, Beirut-raised artist who is a staple in the Lebanese rave scene. After finishing his audio engineering BSc at SAE London, he worked with several mixing and mastering studios in London, Dubai, and currently, in Beirut. His discography includes various EPs and remixes, including 4 LPs, spanning and often fusing multiple genres such as techno, minimal, drum’n’bass, and anything in between.
William has played halfway around the world including London and Berlin, most notably at The Grand Factory (Beirut), The Ballroom Blitz (Beirut), B018 (Beirut), süß war gestern (Berlin), BEAT (London), Electrowerkz (London), and The Ministry of Sound (London), among others. He also won the ‘Beirut Berlin Express’ competition, spent time at BlackHead Studios in Berlin under Sasse's mentorship, and recently released his 4th studio album on Moodmusic Records.
