A COMPOSITE fieldnotes / dialogue tape, made just below the Eagle Cap Wilderness / OREGON, on Bear Paw Ridge, end of February, on snowshoes . . .
The not-so-musical coda features a wild-dog pack of snowmachines roaring up a steep draw only 200 meters below where I was sitting on 1 1/2m snow, happily making this recording . . . [I couldn't quite see them.]
