In June, 1956 Eleanor Roosevelt traveled from Hyde Park, NY to Putney, Vt. to give a commencement address at the Putney School. This was not her first time in the area. She spoke about integration of our society during the time of Rosa Parks and the Montgomery Bus Boycott.
