A Cursory Conspectus of G.B.S.

by Max Beerbohm

Narrrated by Alan Weyman

This short essay was written in 1901 when most of George Bernard Shaw's major work was yet to appear. Much of the discussion focusses on Cashel Byron's Profession, first published as a novel in 1882 and remoulded into a play, The Admirable Bashville, in 1901. However, Beerbohm makes this the basis of a discussion that applies equally well to Shaw's later works.
