Ethel Turner (1872 - 1958) is best known today for her iconic children's classic, Seven Little Australians, which portrays the domestic misadventures of the Woolcot family in Australia at the turn of the Twentieth Century. Among her extensive literary output are a number of short stories, two of which are presented here.
