Singh was previously a staffer at Minnesota Nurses Association before she was fired for expressing support on her personal social media for Palestinian resistance (https://www.wsws.org/en/articles/2023/12/09/minn-d09.html).
Many unions across the US and the Globe are calling for a Ceasefire in Gaza and many unions and sectors of workers have formed Palestinian Solidarity groups such as Healthcare Workers for Palestine and MFT (Minneapolis Federation of Teachers) Educators for Palestine. The Minneapolis City Council has passed one of the strongest Ceasefire resolutions in the country which also calls for ending US Military Aid to Israel (https://fightbacknews.org/articles/minneapolis-city-council-passes-strong-palestine-resolution).
