Nomadic Soul
The amber shades of fen and stone
Spare world and time as toil tends bone
Those bells that herd the faithful home
Set free lost souls in Heaven's dome
What answers lie beyond the wind?
The reedbed trail goes on and on
Stone cast against the age of sin
To shed this mortal coil again
“I can't wait forever!”
Tideless echoes of a plaintive cry
It can't be forever
Soulless in this world I'll fly
There’s anger buried deep below
It fades with time as soil turns bone
We tend the spirits locked in stone
But, the falcon calls as it flies home
“I can't wait forever!”
Timeless echoes of a plaintive cry
It won’t be forever
Soulless in this world I'll fly
