A bit of nostalgia for The Long Sands of my childhood and youth in musical. I've lost count of the musical references I think there are in this multitracked opus: Rush, earliest Genesis, Pink Floyd, Deep Purple, Pavlov's Dog, Tangerine Dream, Camel, Yes, Led Zeppelin, Steve Hackett, Sky, Simple Minds...none of them deliberate, all of them probably obvious, but when you're being nostalgic you sub-consciously reach for your musical comfort food, don't you?
