-How long have you been creating music?
I grew up in punk bands in High School but DJing and producing electronic music going on 10 years!
-What do you use to make your tracks?
A mixture of hardware and software. Lately, a lot of in-the-box stuff and I am on Abelton 11.
-How and when did you first discover Dirtybird?
Been a fan for a long time. Definitely around when Claude's track "Whos afraid of Detroit?" 2006? Came out I started digging to find out more about the label and the music. I got hooked at the first Campout for sure though. I have been every year since!
-Which Dirtybird artist would you want to collaborate with the most?
Definitely Papa Claude, for sure. But I would say my style is most influenced by Ardalan and Justin Martin.
-If your entire life was a movie, what title would best describe you?
Up
-What’s the best concert you’ve ever been to?
That's a super hard one, I love live music maybe a toss-up between Soulwax live and Deltron 3030 with a live Orchestra. There are just so many.
-If you could time travel, where and when would you go?
Honestly back to the late 80s, early 90s. Anywhere in So Cal, I have a soft spot in my heart for that era.
-What species of bird best describes you and why?
Well, I guess the House Sparrow, for obvious reasons. But also because they are normally not native to the area and frequently take "dust baths" which reminds me of getting dirty in the festival crowds.
-What does Dirtybird mean to you?
Dirtybird means family, I mean I felt like part of the flock immediately. Just being a fan and going to events connecting with people and friendships being made. How accessible the artists are to the fans really feels like a community. After placing 3rd in 2 of the last contests and this release definitely solidifies my feeling of being part of the team.
