The second annual Moving Day Portland will take place at Payson Park on Saturday, June 7, beginning at 10 a.m.
Moving Day is an inspiring and empowering annual fundraising walk event that unites people in the area living with Parkinson’s disease (PD), their care partners and loved ones to help beat PD.
Moving Day is a movement for change—towards more awareness, more funding, and more understanding of a disease that affects so many of our family and friends.
The funds raised through Moving Day Portland will help the Parkinson’s Foundation fund cutting-edge research and provide expert care for the one million in the U.S. living with PD and the nearly 90,000 that will receive a diagnosis this year. An estimated 12,000 people in Maine alone live with the disease.
