A regular on JOOF Recordings, Bonzai Progressive and many of the top labels in progressive house/trance, Matt Holliday launches his brand new label Coherent Mathematical Systems with this hugely impressive two track EP - Age of Aquarius. Described by John 00 Fleming as "a great discovery" and more recently by Bonzai Progressive as an "on fire producer" this one is no exception. On the DJ front Matt plays regularly around the UK and in his new residence in Bulgaria. He has warmed up for CID Inc, graced the decks at Tomorrowland, Belgium and recently played what has been described by many as a "killer set" at the 2016 Luminosity Trance Gathering at Club Panama in Amsterdam. Stuck In Time intros with a some warm pads, hints of the bass and percussion before delving into an atmospheric build carried along by a strong bass-line and groovy percussion. The build continues to grow introducing lush atmospheric melodies that dive into an emotion filled breakdown. The melody will take you away with it's subtle but noticeable key changes before slamming into the climax where the track continues to grow to new heights completing this epic, melodic progressive journey.
From the word go Blind Light hammers along with a strong kick, twisted effects and vocal atmospheres which are soon joined by deep bass, subtle synths and even more twisted effects. Super DJ friendly, this track grows at an immense rate before dropping into a breakdown that consists of an out of control synth to keep you enchanted with subtle hits of what's to come in the climax. After a completely twisted breakdown Blind Light erupts in full force with everything you've been teased with so far, playing in full force with a new bass-line pattern which changes constantly taking you to the peak of this track. Top notch production from Matt again, and will be a welcome addition to any DJ set.
Offset Spacial Divergence is in a different league to most of Matt's productions. It's unique in style and shows just how diverse he can be. The track intros with some haunting chords, slowly bringing in the melody of the track which starts to pump through with a deep sub and a kick pattern that's nothing like the norm. This track in it's own right shows you how deep Matt's passion for music runs, and that he is not just stuck to producing one genre. It's hypnotic, trippy and melodic and perfect for the underground DJ who wants to shine through and be different. Use it as an intro, an outro or within your set. It's a beautifully produced timeless piece of music. There are no rules, and in this piece you can hear that. don't be scared to be different.
