Ethan Asplin brings a message on Thomas, one of Jesus' 12 disciples. Thomas was famous for doubting Jesus' resurrection. Thomas wasn't there when the resurrected Jesus first revealed himself to the disciples but as we read in John 20:26, a week later the disciples were in the house again but this time Thomas was there! Ethan's first point was that we need to 'Stay in the Room'. God asks that we stay in church and believe, even when we have doubt in our hearts. Secondly, like Thomas, God wants us to be honest about our struggles. Being honest and open and going to God in prayer creates a space for Jesus to turn up and help resolve our doubts. Lastly, we should be open to the presence of Jesus. God doesn’t forsake us when we do things wrong or doubt, He wants to be near to us. Jesus can change our doubt into belief if we draw near to him.
