Paul Jukes shares about the dedication of Jesus, recorded in Luke 2:22-24. Jesus' parents were required to put in a great deal of preparation in bringing their child to the Temple to present him before the Lord. Paul asks us the question, how do we approach God? Firstly, we should take responsibility by learning what we believe, living what we believe and then teaching (modelling) what we believe. Like Simeon, who took Jesus into his arms, we too should welcome Jesus with open arms, every day of our lives.
