Jesus - the greatest example of a servant - did not come to be served but to serve others, even washing his disciples' feet and laying his life down on the cross. In this message, Paul Jukes reminds us that we are called to serve one another and in helping others, we are actually serving God! If that's the case, then our reward comes from Him, therefore we do not need people to pay us back. Serving need not be complicated, it can simply be some practical acts of kindness to help people, though as it says in 1 Corinthians, "love never fails"; therefore it is important that we do whatever it takes to serve God and to serve others.
