Description

Rob Pitts continues our series on Back to Basics, with ‘how do I share my faith?’ He sets the tone for “Personal and Lifestyle Evangelism” in support of our Soul Winner Bootcamp course. Rob highlights the importance of where we find ourselves and “our world” (our Jerusalem). He uses Mark 16:15-16 and Acts 1:8 to showcase how we must be empowered by the Holy Spirit and have a heart in alignment to God’s will to be willing to share our testimony. This message addresses that to share our faith we must identify who in our world to share to and be ourselves, as we are all unique in our own way and can reach people through various means. Moreover, we all have a duty to be open and share the good things that Jesus has done and is doing in our lives. We need to pray and understand that we may not always bring people to Christ straight away but we are often part of the process to leading people to Christ. Therefore, in accordance to 2 Peter 3:9, we must pray and know that God keeps His word and as He is sensitive with us we must be sensitive to where people are spiritually. Rob left us with two questions: whether we have made ourselves available to be used by God and whether we are empowered by the Holy Spirit? Without this, we cannot be the people that God has called us to be and live a lifestyle of evangelism.
