Jesus was perfect and did not need to be baptised, but he intentionally chose to be baptised so that He could publicly show that He surrendered to God's will. God wants to share His affirmation and approval with us, and this is something that even Jesus wanted. No matter what our past, Jesus wants to have a relationship with us. Baptism is a significant moment where a person publicly acknowledges Jesus in their life and submits to God’s purpose and plan for their life.
