Description

In this challenging talk, Sara walks us through John 8:4-11, where Jesus shows a woman incredible love, when she's accused of adultery.

John 13:35 says that we are identified as Jesus' disciples by our love for one another. Sara reminds us that we need to access God's love to be healed, allowing us the power to love and trust others again.

Jesus' example was an image of reckless love. He loved those that others rejected, like the woman caught in adultery. Jesus demonstrated love through actions, and it was and continues to be, unconditional and irregardless of our mess.

Sara reminds us that love means accepting the humble reality of our own flaws and failings: by appreciating this, our own mess, and the reckless love of Jesus that can restore us despite it, we can forgive others and love them regardless of their mess too. We are not condemned, so we can embrace a guilty world just as God does.
