Although I’m labelled a trance DJ I’ve always enjoyed lots of other genres of dance music, be it progressive, house, breakbeat, techno, drum & bass and more. Over the years I’ve mixed these genres for fun and recorded a few mixes here and there but I feel now, especially with Twitch, it’s time for me to create a show that brings this all together.
During the recent times I’ve been listening to some mid 90’s mixes and the freedom of playing different genres next to each other to craft an interesting story as a DJ is something I always loved about that era. It seems as time as past, DJ’s more and more so began to stick closer to a sound so that they ‘fit in’. Now there is nothing wrong with that, and many listeners probably want that or don’t know any different, however I feel there is a gap in DJ’s doing something a bit different. I certainly can’t find anyone doing what I’m envisaging, so I am taking it upon myself to have a go.
The show will be roughly 2 hours long and will take in all the above mentioned genres, alongside some trance of course. I hope to make this a regular show on Twitch and for it to compliment my current Synthonic Sessions podcast.
