There is beauty in rottenness. The decay of withered flowers shows us the intimate closeness between caducity, death, and beauty. The atmospheres generated by toxic plants, with the poisons we inhale, are environments of fantasy, hypnotic, where we release our most intimate desires. In a fantasy anything can happen, even what we long for the most.
The flowers of evil are the flowers of death, but they are also the rotten, imperfect, hard flowers that embody a fecund and beautiful force. It is in the tension between darkness and beauty, in the darkest moments of life, that the most beautiful can bloom. From the Baudelairean-decadentist motif of Las Flores Del Mal to the darker calm of a Lullaby, which does not want to let us sleep, this EP is tense between death and resurrection. Between evil and what could blossom from it.
