Operating out of downtown LA, UK-born artist Principleasure has been carving his own unique lane with compositions that scan the space between cinematic synthscapes, gritty drum programming and darkwave influenced sonic panoramas.
Infused with brooding electronica and melancholic melodic selections, Principleasure’s debut LP received widespread acclaim, with Mixmag awarding it “Electro album of the month”, calling it a “menacing, enthralling debut”. Over the years his tracks have found their way into a diverse range of top DJ’s sets including Dixon, Dave Clarke, Lane 8, A-Trak and many others.
In parallel with a hardware focused live performance, October 2021 will see Principleasure release his second album, ‘II’. Exploring a wide array of sonic timbres, tempos and ambiences, ‘II’ exudes a sparkling mix of cutting edge instrumentals, shifting angles with dizzying abstraction. The result is a detail-oriented voyage across distant lands and intimate nooks, drawing you into multiply listens.
