On the flip, Grecian producer DimDJ unveils the EPs true dance forward gem. Having already garnered attention on labels like Mathematics, Tar Hollow, and Cologne Underground, here he offers his original take on a classic, driving Roland machine sound.
Echoing synth stabs float above a brawny groove. Once the sinewy bassline enters, the swing of these familiar sounds propel the energy embedded in the rhythm. It is a dynamic piece and the hi hats, prescient chords will be sure to excite both the couch bound listener as much as the early morning revelers moving in the days first glimmers of sun. For the B2, veteran Miami based producer, Luis Padron, offers his trademark futuristic take on dance music using the familiar instruments of the genre. Entering with a classic Juno keyboard rhythm and a bouncing kick, Luis builds a melody and texture from haunting well reverbed accents and continuously adds drum elements. Remarkable here is the subtlety of the changes which engage the listener. It is the work of a producer in top form and fitting closer for this EP.’’
