Description

A few years ago, I was speaking with friend of mine who is a very successful musician and writer. She confessed to me that she often feels like an impostor, like sooner or later, everyone will figure out that she’s actually a fraud. I realized that I had felt this way many times in my life. After some research, I learned that this is called “impostor syndrome” and is common among many people around the world.

The first verse of the song is about someone who is successful but think they’re full of shit, then there’s a verse about someone who is successful and is actually full of shit.

Then there are those who really ARE impostors but think that they know everything and deserve to be where they are. Hence the line “Everybody has an impostor syndrome except the fools who run the world.”

It’s the idea that those who should have more confidence lack it and those who are the true impostors have way too much confidence!

This song marks the recording debut of the new lineup of Stratospheerius.
