The Churchill Fellowship Interview series features recordings from Marcus Mulcahy's 2018 adventure travelling across the USA researching Makerspaces and Digital Technology in schools and communities. This recording is an interview with Alex Truesdell, Executive Director of the Adaptive Design Association in New York. In the 1980s, in a small workshop in her basement, Alex started building and creating adaptations to chairs and toys for children with special needs. Since then, the Adaptive Design Association has created thousands of adaptations for children.
