Join Tina and her special guest, Tania McNaughton, sharing the story behind the play 'She Wrote The Letter'. The play is based on the unlikely real friendship of two teenagers – Ute from East Germany and Tania (McNaughton)from New Zealand. Drawn from a 30 year correspondence starting as pen pals in 1979, their letters affectionately map their navigation of the difficult East-West divide. Written by Kieran Carroll and Performed by Tania McNaughton & Maria Nordenberg, 'She Wrote The Letter' is playing at La Mama until 3 July.
