This week Ilana's special guest is Emma Jackson.
Emma is an architect with an abiding interest in earth science. Her perspective on our unique continent began while working as a field assistant to acclaimed naturalist Harry Butler in the Northwest of Australia while studying Science and Architecture at the University of Western Australia. She now produces large scale textile artworks that reveal 4.6 billion years of earth behaviour.
In 2021 Emma was awarded the Australian Tapestry Design Prize for Architects for “Time Shouts”. In 2023 Emma Jackson was selected by the NGV as one of 5 designers to exhibit their work as part of FOCUS at the Melbourne Design Fair 2023.
