Do you see what I see? Episode 3 delivered some wonderful surprises with an unexpected trip to the 1908 timeline and a meet cute with multiracial characters two cycles ago. While the VFX in the cemetery scene took us out of the scary, weird tone, there was enough richness to save things from going off the tracks too hard.

We discuss those baseball jerseys at the Special Projects building. Then onto Easter eggs, character arcs, our favorite characters, and top scenes. Will Rose be there to save Francis again? Will the adults believe the photo evidence they see? Where was Hank Grogan at 11:30 pm the night of the murder? And how is this mysterious housekeeper? Steve rated this episode 3 turtles, and I rated it 4 turtles.

Recap: In 1908, a young boy named Francis visits a circus that ignites his fears for a skeleton man. He also meets Rose, who we know as Second Hand Rose. These two kids meet again as adults, realizing they are on opposite sides of a turf war.

Meanwhile Clint Bowers visits Hank Grogan and tries another tactic to get him to confess.

Major Hanlon and his buddy Captain Russo are ordered to take Dick Hallorann in the air to get closer to the target. He has a vision, and Hanlon save Hallorann’s life. Hallorann shares an awkward family dinner with the Hanlon family, where they have a meeting of the minds.

Lilly is released from Juniper Hill much quicker than expected. She returns to school and apologizes to Ronnie. The two of them convince Rich and Will to help them set up a séance of sorts to encourage the spirits of their ancestors to show up so they can take pictures. It’s risky business but they get some photos. One photo is of a clown.
