It was an extra special Halloween weekend in Isla Vista. On October 31, the IV Recreation and Park District celebrated its 50th anniversary. On Monday night - Halloween evening, community members, local leaders and elected officials came together to celebrate the efforts of so many people over the past half century - to preserve and grow Isla Vista’s parks and open spaces.
