A trio of political outsiders frustrated by the way the city is managing a major road renovation in old town Goleta and other housing and infrastructure projects are running for office. As Noozhawk reports, three candidates have formed an alliance to replace the sitting mayor and two district council city council representatives. KCSB’s Robert Stark spoke with mayoral candidate Richard Foster.
In the Goleta mayor’s race, Richard Foster is competing with mayor Paula Perotte, who was Goleta's first elected mayor and has been involved in serving on the council since 2010. Mayor Perotte declined an interview with KCSB News. A representative for her campaign said she didn’t have time.
