The Senate Bill to extend healthcare to all Californians (SB 562) had garnered a lot of political support and public interest. But, it was suddenly pulled from the Assembly by Speaker Anthony Rendon. While many lawmakers were in favor of the legislation, Democratic Assemblymember Monique Limón, who represents the Central Coast, supported the speaker's action.
