Description

Nell Campbell moved to Santa Barbara in 1969, during the height of the anti-Vietnam war sentiment. She’s been photographing local and national protests ever since. In addition, she’s captured numerous artistic renditions of her home state of Louisiana, including the acclaimed Duck Blinds exhibition which shows empty, swampy lands in conjunction with the man-made hunting structures. KCSB's Héctor Sánchez Castañeda spoke with Campbell on her career.

Her gallery at UCSB’s Art Design and Architecture Museum opened on July 7, and the one at Channing Peake Gallery on July 6.
