A public hearing is took place last month to discuss the future of oil drilling efforts in the Ventura county town of Fillmore. People against the efforts expressed concerns that the oil drilling could compromise a nearby aqueduct. That aqueduct, they said, is Fillmore’s only source of drinking water.
