18 major wildfires are actively burning across California. That includes the giant Mendocino Complex Fire up north, which this week surpassed the Thomas Fire as the largest in State History.
KCSB’s Lisa Osborn spoke with UCSB Geography Professor Leila Carvalho, she is also the lead investigator on a National Science Foundation project that’s studying Sundowner Winds and other extreme fire weather hazards.
