Description

On July 21st, 2023, the Santa Barbara Daily News-Press, a Pulitzer-Prize winning newspaper that’s been in operation since 1855, declared Chapter 7 bankruptcy. The paper stopped publishing, and every job at the paper was eliminated. To better understand what led to the bankruptcy, as well as the infamous “News-Press Mess” of 2006, KCSB's Zoha Malik speaks with former Santa Barbara Daily News-Press journalist Josh Molina about his experience working there, and his perspective on the newspaper’s end now.
