Federal Judge James Boasberg will hold another hearing tomorrow about his ban on deportations under a rare wartime law. This comes after the Trump administration’s efforts last month to deport alleged Venezuelan gang members to El Salvador. To hear more about the law in question, KCSB’s Joyce Chi talked to UCSB Professor Giuliana Perrone about the Alien Enemies Act and its usage throughout the past.
