On our weekly roundtable: fallout and implications of the re-election of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. What does it mean for the Palestinians, for US/Israeli relations, for the US/Iranian negotiations including the White House/GOP cold war on Iran?

Also the annual budget fights are on in Washington: House and Senate Republicans revealed their plans earlier this week.

The House bill calls for a repealing of Obamacare, privatizing Medicare, turning Medicaid and food stamps into block grants to states and more austerity measures while making things easier tax wise for the wealthy. The Progressive Caucus of the Democratic Party is considering their anti-austerity budget principles. What if any impact will the anti-austerity movements in Greece, Spain and on the rise in Ireland have on the US budget fight?

And as a UN panel announced that they will investigate whether the US Department of Justice failed to account for the murders and disappearances of Black people by the KKK and other groups during the civil rights era (this according to an article in common dreams), just yesterday a Black man was found dead hanging from a tree in Mississippi and on the evening of St Patrick’s day, a young Black University of Virginia student was beaten and bloodied by alcohol control officers as he tried to enter a bar.
