Today: a very special broadcast: the return of our youth roundtable series: Sojourner Youth. Recent discussions about Los Angeles Unified School District’s budget plans and graduation requirements have inspired a group of high school students to discuss their educational system and what they found did not encourage them.
The students say that when conversations on how to better public education arise, they are often kept out of the conversation. In this special youth roundtable, they have decided to try to put an end to this trend by offering their own shared critique of the system they have researched and the system they have experienced.
Our high school panelists are Zoe Berges, Chris Leon, and our summer intern Cheylah Miller, who produced this show.
