Today on Sojourner Truth, we discuss protests in Haiti, the Donald Trump/Vladimir Putin summit in Finland and the ongoing immigration crisis.

The latest uprising in Haiti caused U.S. airlines to cancel flights. U.S. Marines are on the ground to "protect" the U.S. Embassy. Protests led to the resignation of Prime Minister Jack Guy Lafontant. Journalist, filmmaker and Haiti expert Kevin Pina is our guest.

What actually came out of infamous Helsinki summit between between Trump and Putin? Did nukes make it into the conversation? What is the little-reported deal between the United States, Russia and Israel? We speak with David Cortright, Director of Policy Studies at the Kroc Institute for International Studies at the University of Notre Dame.

Resistance is growing in detention centers against Trump's snatching of children from immigrant families and placing them in detention centers. A hunger strike has now broken out among detainees at the Northwest Detention Center in Washington state. Several protesters were also arrested outside of Berks County Detention Center after several hundred people there protested. And a caravan of grandmothers are on their way from New York to the U.S./Mexico border to show solidarity with immigrants and protest Trump's anti-immigrant and racist policies. Our guest is immigrant rights campaigner Maru Mora Villalpando.
