Today on Sojourner Truth:

We focus on the two Black men who were found hung in public spaces in Southern California. One close to a City Hall, the other outside of a public library. What's going on? Our guest is Jeremiah Gordon, a community organizer with the Los Angeles Black Worker Center working to build Black worker power. Gordon began his organizing journey as a student leader at the University of California, Riverside. He was born and raised in Long Beach, California.

An update on the continued protests happening across the country. More specifically, an update on the uprising in Louisville, Kentucky, with environmentalist and anti-racist campaigner Stephen Bartlett. Mr Bartlett is the Coordinator of Sustainable Agriculture of Louisville, which aims to create a joyous, diverse, and sustainable community of well-nourished people and well-compensated farmers and food workers. Stephen is also a member of Louisvillians Showing Up For Racial Justice LSURJ.

Also, the Supreme Court made a spate of recent decisions, including action on LGBTQ rights. The debate also continues over what Donald Trump and the U.S. legislature will do about ongoing demands to defund the police. Our guest is Marjorie Cohn, professor emerita at Thomas Jefferson School of Law, where she taught for 25 years. The former president of the National Lawyers Guild and criminal defense attorney is a legal scholar and political analyst who writes books and articles, and lectures throughout the world about human rights, US foreign policy, and the contradiction between the two.
