8.24.25 marks my 35th birthday 🎈
Over the past few years I’ve been able to reconnect with past versions of myself and make peace with my own personal journey. The ups. The downs. The lows. The highs. It can be confusing, frustrating, and humbling; but also exciting, beautiful, and empowering. Music has become my primary source of expression, and to say I’m grateful would feel like an understatement.
I’ve always viewed gospel music as the most prolific genre of music to tell stories. Encouraging folks listening—no matter who they are—to push through their own obstacles and embrace every part of their circumstances. The harmonies, the intricacies, the soul, the freedom - all helping you to move through your feelings and release them.
I decided to interpret the concept of gospel, through both my sound and perspective, in hopes of connecting deeper with myself and others. The result is an hour-long anthemic celebration of how far I’ve come, a sonically emotional rebirth in the midst of chaos, and a love letter to my own remarkable frequency; woven with sounds of gospel and house that encourage you to move your body and feel deeply.
As you listen, I truly hope you’re able to feel and spread the good word—love, embrace, and own every bit of your unique and beautiful story as the world continues to try to write it for you.
