In the parable of the dishonest steward Jesus teaches us how to invest wisely for the future. If the dishonest steward knows how to use his master’s wealth to his advantage, how much more should we the ‘sons of light’. Jesus promises us that if we are generous with our finances now, we will make eternal friends who will welcome us into God’s kingdom. This ‘Giving Sunday’ our invitation is to press in to the vision that God has laid before us as ‘where our treasure goes our hearts will follow’.
