In response to God Habakkuk sings of all that God has done in the past and will do in the future. He fuels himself with stories from the Bible to sing and pray that God comes and does the same sort of thing again: rescues his people, rights wrong, shows himself to be glorious. We learn that God is a warrior who fights for us, that he defeats Sin, Death and the Enemy on our behalf, and that he can come and intervene in our church like he has in the past.
