Paul describes two groups: the weak who feel that Jewish food laws and Sabbath-keeping are required for mature Christians, and the strong who recognise that the gospel frees us from these requirements. Paul aligns himself with the strong but is much more interested in pointing their hearts towards each other. We explored the divisions that can emerge within our church and between us and other churches, and see that Jesus calls us to radically love and welcome one another. We then explored how to decide what following Jesus as mature believers looks like.
