Welcome to the Resilient Now Podcast with Liliana Brown
Meet David Solano born with arthrogryposis, a condition that limits muscle development and joint movement, David Solano grew up hearing “you can’t.” He wasn’t allowed to play PE as a child, struggled to get a job, and was often underestimated. But David refused to let his disability define him. He became a teacher—and when schools told him he couldn’t coach, he boldly promised them a championship if given the chance. Against all odds, his team went undefeated and won the title.
Today, David continues to inspire through his nonprofit, where underprivileged boys gather twice a week to play basketball, build friendships, and find mentorship. His greatest gratitude? That he was born with arthrogryposis—because it shaped his resilience and turned him into a true everyday superhero.
